Shiny as Night

"Shiny as Night" by CelticMagician is a lovely blending of canon design and the artist's own unique style. It portrays the artist's Shining Charizard looking over its shoulder at the viewer, its tail flame burning brightly. Perhaps the most captivating element of the piece is the use of color. From a distance, the Charizard appears to have slight remnants of the original orange of a more common Charizard, but a closer look reveals a rainbow of prismatic colors glistening off its smooth skin, an effect created by the monster's own flame. The figure is quite bold, its outline sharp against a black and endless background. The flame on its tail is well done, and the brightness of the eye, tooth, and claws catch the viewer's eye, moving focus around the piece. This is definitely a beautiful work by a very talented artist, one of the best pieces of a Shining Charizard we've come across.
